The collection includes tax digests from 1785 to 1799 and marriage records dated from 1806 to 1920 from the following counties: Burke, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Franklin, Glynn, Greene, Hancock, Jackson, Jefferson, Montgomery, Oglethorpe, Richmond, Warren, and Wilkes. Most of the records are in the possession of the county court which produced the records. Some are in the possession of the Georgia Archives.
