The mission of the Archives and Records Management Department at the Georgia Institute of Technology is to collect and preserve the history of the campus; to promote research and scholarship through collections relating to the academic curriculum; to provide a research experience for students in the use of primary sources; and to preserve the legal and administrative documents of the Institute.

The Georgia Tech Digital Initiatives Department seeks to capture all pertinent "born digital" content, implement a campus wide digital publishing program, and continue to create and support online collections including digital text, photographs, video and audio to meet the needs of the Georgia Tech community and scholars around the world.
