near Clayton, 1940s. Lillian Eugenia Smith (1897-1966) seen with workmen on her roof gardens at Laurel Falls Camp. She was a noted author. About 1925 she took over as director of the camp that had been begun by her father, Rev. C. W. Smith, in 1926. She held the position until 1949.
