Jordan of Universal Pictures to Smith, probably William M. Smith, manager of the Douglass Theatre, dated July 8, 1926, regarding an organ that might be purchased for the Douglass Theatre. Jordan recounts hearing that Smith and Douglass (probably Charles Henry Douglass, owner of the Douglass Theatre) are interested in purchasing an organ. He advises that W. A. Odom of the Palace Theatre in Thomaston, Georgia has one that he would sell. Jordan recommends that Smith take a look at the instrument and conveys the asking price of eight hundred to nine hundred dollars. Mr. W. A. Odom Palace Theatre Thomaston Ga [Georgia] has one they would sell. they have two, bought the last one for a change you might call them over phone -- go over and see what he has -- I will say this much, you can depend on what Mr. Odom tells you.
