Keyword:

Locates records which include your search terms in the title field, "note field, and tables of content."

Title:

Locates records that contain your search terms in the title field. Not only is the title assigned by DLG staff searchable, but alternative versions of the title that account for variant spellings may also be searched.

Dates:

Locates records which contain your search term in the "date of publication field."

Author:

Locates records that contain your search term in the author field. The author can be the name of a state agency or a personal author.

Call number:

Locates records that contain your search term in the entire call number or part of a call number field. Call numbers in this database designate a publication's issuing agency.

Note:

Locates records that contain your search term in the note field. Examples of terms included in notes are poster, map, and electronic text.

Place of publication:

Locates records that contain your search term in the place of publication field.

Record type:

Locates records that contain your search term in the record type field. Three record types are used in this database. Annual reports and serials are coded y. Books and pamphlets are coded s. Periodical issues are coded i.

Table of contents:

Locates records that contain your search term in table of contents fields.

Text:

Locates records that contain your search term in the text field. While the scanned images of the pages in this database are not searchable, portions of the document text are converted with a process called OCR (optical character recognition) in order to allow for text searching.
