- Enter your search in the Search box; then click
Start Search.
(With your cursor in the Search box, you may be able to press
the Enter key instead of clicking Start Search.)
- The default general search is a topic search, which includes
titles, notes, and table of contents headings.
- For more information about connectors and,
or, and not, see the help screen,
AND/OR/NOT.
- An alternative to using the pull-down boxes to select the indexed field, you may also
do a command line search. In other words, you may enter the indexed field label
and the terms you wish to search
in the search box. Below is a table of
the searchable field labels that you may use. Full boolean (connector) searching
is possible using AND, OR, or NOT and parentheses as needed.
Examples:
- keywords: highway and author: audits
- ti: forestry and rt: s
- date: 2001/11 and rectype: i
- ti:news not au:communication
- title_phrase: "georgia adopt-a-stream"
(note: enclose the terms in quotes for phrase indexes)
Note: if you do not specify an index, the default is kw:, and if you do
not specify a connector, the default is and:. e.g.,
- georgia forestry is the same as kw:georgia and forestry
