Title: >[Postcard showing Alford's Pharmacy, Dahlonega, Ga.?, 1904-1918?]
Date: 1904-1918
Description: Postcard showing what may have been Alford's Pharmacy, possibly in Dahlonega, Ga. A man poses outside a two-story mercantile establishment. The lower level is constructed of wood, while the upper level is of brick and features a window, a door, and a wooden balcony, which extends around one side of the building. On the opposite side of the building is a wooden staircase leading to the upper story. The words "Root Beer" are painted on the window to the man's left, and the man appears to be holding a glass of root beer in his right hand. Under the window is a sign turned upside-down advertising "Peterson's Lead, Zinc Asbestos Paint sold by Alford's Pharmacy." The stampbox markings on the verso of the postcard suggest the postcard dates from between 1904 and 1918.
