Description: Letter from Amory Dexter, civil engineer and one-time agent of the Yahoola River and Cane Creek Hydraulic Hose Mining Company, to Colonel Wier Boyd, dated April 3, 1869. Dexter is sorry to hear Boyd is experiencing financial strain and offers a payment plan to ease repayment of his debt. He expresses irritation that even though cotton sales are slow, he has to keep his warehouse office open because of high inventory. Dexter says the result is that he will not be able to visit Dahlonega until summer.
