Description: Letter from W. S. Hungerford to Wier Boyd, dated May 13, 1880. Hungerford gives Boyd explicit instructions for collecting money from Trimble and asks Boyd to send him receipts of releases from the Hand Company and Mr. Howell if Boyd agrees to his proposition. He notes that the newspapers report rich discoveries of gold in White County, Georgia, and a large influx of speculators in the Georgia gold region. Based on this information, Hungerford thinks they will be able to sell their machinery.
