Description: Letter from M. A. Cannan, office manager of the white-owned, Philadelphia-based Colored Players Film Corporation, to Douglass Theatre owner Charles Henry Douglass, Jr., dated February 19, 1927, confirming a contract for showing a film. Cannan confirms the contract that A Prince of His Race will be shown in the Douglass Theatre on two dates and thanks Douglass for the contract. He informs Douglass that advertising will ship today. Released in 1926, A Prince of His Race was directed by white director David Starkman and featured William A. Clayton, Jr., Shingzie Howard, Harry Henderson, Ethel Smith, Arline Mickey, and William Smith.
