The letters begin May 25, 1862 and end October 30, 1862. He was killed on December 13, 1862 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. There is also a group of financial papers mainly concerning Nancy Caroline Woodham and the Lundsford family. These papers include promissory notes, receipts, and indentures dated 1840-1881.|
Thomas Augustus Woodham was in Company E, 31st Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry. In 1859 he married Nancy Caroline Lunsford (b. 1837) and they lived in Stewart County, Georgia.
