Date: 1900
Description: Fort Gaines, 1900. Steamboat, Queen City, moored at the Sutlive Warehouse on the Chattahoochee River. The captain was George S. Lapham and the purser was Fred L. Wickham. Note the bales of cotton loaded on the vessel. The Queen City was built in Columbus and was dismantled there around 1906. Part of the covered bridge over the river is seen at the left.
