Description: Aerial view of the construction of the R. Ney McNeely at the J.A. Jones Construction Company shipyard in Brunswick, Georgia the day prior to its launching. Workers can be seen on the top of the ship, and a large mobile crane is visible. The ship was the twenty-fifth built by the J.A. Jones Construction Company in Brunswick, Georgia. Its keel was laid December 9, 1943. The ship was launched January 29, 1944 and delivered February 10, 1944.
