| Description: | This document is an extract from the minutes of the Georgia House of Assembly, dated February 23, 1784, appropriating funds to be delivered to the commissioners appointed to treat with the Creek Indians. The funds allotted are intended to fulfill promises of presents made to two leaders of the Creek Indians, the Tallesee (Talasee, Tallassee) King and the Fat King, for their loyalty and cooperation in the late war and a recent unnamed land cession. The extract appears to have been prepared by John Wilkinson. In addition, tcc669 is a receipt for the delivery of goods purchased for the Fat King from these funds. Document ID: tcc091.
