Description: Samuel Hawkins relays information that an interpreter for unnamed Indian agents had communicated with a party of Indian leaders regarding the negotiation of a treaty at Fort Mitchell and the subsequent refusal to sell more land. Hawkins also writes that in 1822 the agent unjustly deducted a portion of the annuity that was supposed to go to the Nation and sent it to pay to a person named Davis in Savannah, Georgia.
