Currey, to Governor William Schley (Governor of Georgia, 1835-1837) regarding an enclosed letter (which does not survive with this letter) that Currey wants the governor to read and then forward to Colonel Joel Yancy at Fort King. Yancy, Currey points out, was once assigned to the Cherokee service but was transferred at Currey's suggestion to a position as an officer associated with the removal of the Seminoles.
