Description: Affidavit of George Spann, from Montgomery County, Georgia, dated October 3, 1800, sworn to before Justice of the Peace Horatio Marbury. Spann testifies that he apprehended a slave named Bob who told him that he had come from the Chehaw Town in the Creek Nation. Bob was then stolen from Spann by John Ford and James Adamson. It is unclear why or how Bob left the Creek Nation.
