Gillaspie of Athens, Tennessee in which Thomas relates the news that the Commissioner of Indian Affairs has completed his report on Cherokee claims. Thomas explains that the report is now being reviewed by the Secretary of War, and he also mentions that the payment of claims may be suspended as long as strife continues among the Cherokees who emigrated.
