Description: In the interview Mrs. Bailff recalls stories told to her by her grandmother, Mrs. Cain. Topics covered include superstitions, collecting herbs, education, church, and the Civil War. Mrs. Ruddell shares stories from her childhood on a farm. These include superstitions about planting, remedies, food preparation, making soap and games. Both interviewees are very faint in the recording. There is some static and background noise during Mrs. Ruddell's interview.
