Description: In the interview Mrs. Yancey talks about quilting and shares the entire process of quilting and having a quilting party. Mr. Robert Garrison recalls a hunting party and sings "The Little Log Cabin in the Lane." Ora Jones talks about the use of asefetida, sassafras tea, sulphur, and molasses to cure anything from the common cold to boils. Iona Robinson recalls remedies that used blue stone and house leek. David Cooper plays guitar and sings "Get Your Copper Kettle." Helen Williams recalls superstitions. Mrs. R.T. Garrison tells the tale of a haunted house in Tampa, FL and explains how to go snipe hunting. The recording has a hum throughout Iona Robinson's interview.
