Clarene Burgess explains life without running water or electricity and how to do daily chores such as ironing and sweeping. Both women talk about social life, celebrations and food. Edna Owen is approximately 63-years-old. Clarene Burgess is Edna's neighbor. A loud hum drowns out the sound for a few minutes of the recording. This is noted in the transcript.
