Ms. Ackerman was a stockbroker and marketing director in Atlanta, Ga., and a volunteer with the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) Georgia campaign. She was asked to organize women in Cobb County to work with ERA Georgia, and as a result of her efforts, the Cobb Coalition for the ERA was formed. The audio clip talks about her organizing efforts in Cobb County.
