Through her work with the National Organization for Women and the Feminist Action Alliance, she helped to set up the rape crisis center at Grady Hospital and to change the rape laws in Georgia. She later was involved in the development of the Atlanta Women's Network, an organization which allowed business and professional women to network about women's issues. The audio clip discusses the establishment of the Grady rape crisis center.
