Some of the 1,000 workers in the New Bedford Cotton Mills Corporation, who received retroactive pay and a 5-cent-an-hour wage increase, which were negotiated by the United Textile Workers of America (AFL) are pictured at the mill gate yesterday happily waving their new pay checks. Total received by workers was $58,239.08. Highest amount paid to an individual was $123.68 cents."
