"This Georgia State College chemistry major, Miss Joyce M. Wilkins, received the award for the best undergraduate student research paper presented at the 1969 meeting of the Georgia Academy of Science. She is pictured using the nuclear magnestic resonance (NMR) spectrometer to study changes in the magnetic character of thiophene molecules when dissolved in various solvents.
