Inset: A new map of Hudson's Bay and Labrador, 27x30cm (upper left corner).

Inscription: "This map was undertaken with the Approbation and at the request of the Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations...John Pownall, Secretary. Plantation Office, Feby. 13, 1755."

Bottom right beneath border: Published by the author Feb. 13th, 1755 according to Act of Parliament.

Inside map border at bottom: Printed for Jefferys and Faden, geographers to the King at the corner of St. Martins Lane Charing Crofs, London. Tho. Kitchin, sculp.

Texts: 1) "After the first drawing..." 2) (six parts) "I. Astronomical observations," etc.

Scale given in miles or minutes of latitude, English miles, English & French sea-leagues, common French leagues and Dutch miles.
