|Description:||Roosevelt Day, 1938. Gainesville, GA welcomed President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 23, 1938, to dedicate Roosevelt Square and Roosevelt Monument, in front of the new Hall County Courthouse. The new courthouse was built after the old building was destroyed by the tornado of April 6, 1936. The speaker's stand is located in front of the new City Hall.|
