Title: Election whimsy
Date: 1966-05
Description: Election whimsy, May 1966. Photograph taken in May 1966 of an "Election Bet Payoff," which gave Marvin Wood a ride in the wheelbarrow at the New Holland Mill. Al Ledford lost a bet on the sheriff's race when he said Ed England would be elected. England appreciated the confidence and support of Ledford and came to stroll along. Cal Wilson, the elected sheriff, provided two siren-blowing sheriff cars to give the proper background decorum.
