Description: Photograph of the exterior of the Ashley-Slater House (ca. 1912) in Douglas, Georgia. The brick mansion, designed with Italianate elements, features wrought-iron balconies extending from the second story windows. A covered veranda sits on the right side of the home. Tall trees surround the house. This structure now houses the city's welcome center, and a museum collection from the Ashley-Slater family is located in the parlor of the home.
