Description: Aerial photograph showing the new campus of Armstrong State College in Savannah, Georgia, 1965. Several buildings stand around a quadrangle. Trees grow around the edges of the campus. In December 1965 Armstrong State College moved to a 250-acre tract ten miles south of Savannah's historic district.

Since its founding in 1935, Armstrong Atlantic State University has evolved from a junior college supported by the city of Savannah into a four-year unit of the University System of Georgia.
