<dc:description>Cuthbert, March 1909. Citizens inspect the damage caused by the tornado which struck Cuthbert March 9, 1909. The area around the square, the business district, and homes sustained severe damage. Six people were killed. The structure seen in the photograph was typical of a number of buildings in Cuthbert. Many were used initially as offices for lawyers or doctors.</dc:description>
