[Letter] 1783 Mar. 25, Augusta, [Georgia to] Maj[o]r Gen[era]l [Nathanael?] Green[e] [?], Charles Towne [i.e., Charleston, South Carolina] / Major Rich[ar]d Call Call, Richard, 1757-1792 Creek Indians--Treaties Land grants This document is a letter from Major Richard Call to Major General (Nathanael Greene?), dated March 25, 1783. Call writes to introduce his friend Colonel George Rootes from Virginia, who has lately become a citizen of Georgia. Call states that Rootes has obtained a grant for 200,000 acres of Georgia land to be acquired following a treaty with unnamed Indians currently underway (probably the Treaty of Augusta, 1783, with the Creek Indians.)
