Meigs, U.S. agent to the Cherokees, at the Cherokee agency in Tennessee from June 30, 1810 through October 1, 1810. Expenses included payment of the Cherokee annuity, payment of claims by and against the Cherokees for stolen property, salaries of various agents and interpreters, and the purchase of articles for spinning and weaving.
