The committee would like copies of two reports as well as the instructions given to the commissioners currently appointed to treat with the Cherokee Nation. Clark explains that he cannot supply a copy of Mr. Gilmer's report to Congress about Indian reserves because his office never received it, and he refuses to make public any of the orders received by the treaty commissioners.
