Militia--Appropriations and expenditures Seminole Indians--Warfare Seminole War, 2nd, 1835-1842 Military supplies This undated report to William Schley, Governor of Georgia (1835-1837), from Major Joseph Manning of the Seventh Battalion of the Georgia Militia lists the militia expenditures for food, horses, and other provisions for thirty-eight mounted men. The soldiers fought for five days in Waresboro, Georgia against the Creek and Seminole Indians in an action probably associated with the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). Document ID: tcc546.
