<dc:description>Affidavit of Archibald Nelson of Jackson County, Georgia, dated May 17, 1817, and sworn to before Justice of the Peace James Strawn. Nelson testifies that James Morris, John Camp, and James Besley are all living across the boundary line on lands designated as Indian hunting grounds. He reports that all three have been making improvements on the land, such as building cabins, and clearing timber. Nelson further states that Camp has promised to resist any attempts by the whites or the Indians to remove him.</dc:description>
