<dc:description>This is a letter from Colonel Benjamin Hawkins, U.S. Agent to the Creeks, to Peter Early, Governor of Georgia (1813-1815), dated January 22, 1815.  Hawkins reports to Early on the size of his force, including a body of Indians, provisions and means of transport, and the navigation of area rivers.  He also makes recommendations regarding the delivery of further provisions and appropriate camp equipage for soldiers.</dc:description>
