[to] A[llen] Fisher, Scotts Creek, [North Carolina] / W[illiam] H[olland] T[homas] Thomas, William Holland, 1805-1893 Cherokee Indians--Claims Cherokee Indians--Government relations This is a letter, dated July 24, 1839, to Allen Fisher at the Scotts Creek store from William Holland Thomas regarding the progress of the Cherokee claims. Thomas writes that the claim for commutations is about 50,000 and that he thinks he can ensure its payment.
