<dc:description>Video of author and Georgia native Anne Rivers Siddons talking about the difficulties southern women face when making unconventional choices for their lives. She wears a red suit and faces forward. Siddons states that the south can be difficult for "gifted women." She notes that women can be adventurous but they "will pay a price for it." An unidentified interviewer is shown at the end of the interview.</dc:description>
<dc:description>Siddons is best known for books about Atlanta, Georgia and its environs. Two novels, Homeplace (1987) and Nora, Nora (2000), take place in a fictionalized version of Fairburn, her hometown, in Fulton County. She is also the author of two books of nonfiction, Go Straight on Peachtree (1978), a McDonald City Guide to Atlanta, and John Chancellor Makes Me Cry (1975), a series of essays patterned around the changing seasons in Atlanta.</dc:description>
