Images in the DjVu format in Digital Library of Georgia Collections may be viewed with the free DjVu Browser plug-in. DjVu allows you to see the whole image at once or zoom in to see detail. The viewer will also allows for best printing of images.

DjVu Functions

When you open a DjVu image, the DjVu browser plug-in displays the image with thumbnails at the side of the browser window and a toolbar at the top of the browser window. The toolbar has the following functions:

Color This menu lets you select the "layer" of the DjVu image you wish to view. It should be left on "Color" for normal viewing.

Size The size menu lets you select the size at which you wish to view the image. This may be a percentage of the original, full size ("One to One"), or fit to your browser window in different ways ("Fit Width," "Fit Page," or "Stretch").

Zoom In/Zoom Out The Spyglass with the plus sign zooms in, the one with the minus sign zooms out.

Find The find option allows you to search within the text of the document.

Print The print button prints the image or set of images.

Save The save button allows you to save the DjVu image or set of images to your computer.

90* and -90* Allow you to rotate the image.

Forward and Back Buttons Allow you to navigate through the set of images.
