Cooper Pants, Area 7

The following film clip shows the damaged storefront of Bob Christopher Garage as well as the smoking ruins of Palmour Hardware Company which were both located on West Broad Street. West Broad Street was one of the most heavily damaged areas in the city following the tornado on April 6, 1936. A reported five people were killed when Palmour Hardware, a three-story building located on the corner of West Broad and Maple Streets, collapsed and caught fire.
