Cooper Pants, Area 9

The following film clip depicts the ruins and wreckage surrounding the Bob Christopher Garage on the corner of West Broad Street and Maple Street. West Broad Street was one of the hardest hit areas by the 1936 tornado. From the Gainesville Midland Railway depot, the tornado traveled up West Broad Street and across Maple and South Main Streets before entering the Public Square.
