Cooper Pants, Area 11

The film clip listed below shows tornado damage near Smith Brothers' lunch counter on the corner of West Broad and South Main Streets as well as damaged storefronts along South Main Street. West Broad Street was one of the hardest hit areas by the 1936 tornado. From the Gainesville Midland Railway depot, the tornado traveled up West Broad Street and across Maple and South Main Streets before entering the Public Square.
