Public Square, Area 7

Beginning with the Dixie Hunt Hotel and ending with J.C. Penney Co., the following film clips capture extensive tornado damage on the west side of the Public Square along the South Main Street frontage. Despite considerable damage to the building, guests staying at the Dixie Hunt Hotel, Gainesville's largest hotel, were able to escape the building without injury or harm.
